Get Your Garden Ready for Spring

Are your ready to plant? Me too!

super simple gardening tips

Seed starter:

Use an old cupcake tin. Add cupcake paper and fill with WET soil. Plant your seeds and wait for them to sprout!

To test your soil:

1. Add about 1 cup of your soil to a container such as a glass mason jar

2. Add a 1/2 cup of vinegar. If the soil bubbles or gets fizzy like soda it’s alkaline.

If there is no reaction….

1. Add another cup of soil into another container.

2. Add a half cup of water and mix, then add a half cup of baking soda. If the soil bubbles or fizzes your soil is acidic.

If your soil is acidic you can add wood ash or lime, if it’s alkaline add sulfur or pine needles.
